A top price for Thomas Sunderland - as previously expected
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Nicolette Wernick Collection British Watercolours and Paintings (1800-1950), which included the work Stybarrow Crag, Ullswater, Lake District by Thomas Sunderland. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,432.19) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Stybarrow Crag, Ullswater, Lake District is the most expensive artwork by Thomas Sunderland that we have observed at auctions so far.
