Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Regal (Shelf), from Door Cycle by Thomas Schütte was auctioned at Phillips in London in January this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,860.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Schütte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grosser Geist Nr. 13 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 5,275,600.00 (€ 4,731,904.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Regal (Shelf), from Door Cycle von Thomas Schütte kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.860,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Schütte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grosser Geist Nr. 13 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.275.600,00 (€ 4.731.904,21).
