Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work 1-11 by Thomas Locher. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Locher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1-25 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,627.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 1-11 von Thomas Locher zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Locher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1-25 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.627,31).
