Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Thomas Kiesewetter was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,472.15). Admittedly, works by Thomas Kiesewetter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Barriere. in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Thomas Kiesewetter im März 2016 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.472,15) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Kiesewetter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Barriere. im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.500,00.
