This artwork by Thomas Kiesewetter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Blue Violet sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,125.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Kiesewetter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Barriere., which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 22,500.00.

Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Kiesewetter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Barriere. beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
