Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wall Mask by Thomas Houseago was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 55,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,223.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Houseago - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quake mask, which sold at auction in June 2019 for EUR 225,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wall Mask von Thomas Houseago kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 55.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.223,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Houseago mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quake mask beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für EUR 225.000,00 versteigert wurde.
