Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Construction Mask II by Thomas Houseago was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. It achieved a price of USD 94,500.00 (€ 96,596.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Houseago - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quake mask, which sold at auction in June 2019 for EUR 225,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Construction Mask II von Thomas Houseago kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 96.596,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Houseago mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quake mask beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für EUR 225.000,00 versteigert wurde.
