Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The grounds of Mr. Justice Le Blanc's home at Nacton, Suffolk by Thomas Hearne was sold in the Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby auction at Christies in London in March 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 707.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hearne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elegant figures rowing on the the River Wear before Lumley Castle in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 21,669.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The grounds of Mr. Justice Le Blanc's home at Nacton, Suffolk von Thomas Hearne wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby bei Christies in London versteigert.
