Admittedly, works by Thomas Hearne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegant figures rowing on the the River Wear before Lumley Castle in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 21,669.06).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.068,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Hearne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegant figures rowing on the the River Wear before Lumley Castle im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 21.669,06).
