Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Unknown by Thomas Hargreaves was sold in the At Home - Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Irish, auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The price achieved of GBP 246.75 (€ 360.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hargreaves achieve.
