Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Francis Dicksee could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work The Grief of Constance changed hands for USD 478.00 (€ 389.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Francis Dicksee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ of the Cornfield "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, And not man for the Sabbath." Mark, II, 27. in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 82,937.93).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ of the Cornfield "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, And not man for the Sabbath." Mark, II, 27. im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 82.937,93).
