This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Thomas Demand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellowcake (Embassy I,II, III, IV, IV.a, V, VI, VII, VII.a) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 413,000.00 (€ 375,659.45).
