Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas de Keijzer could be acquired at Christies in New York in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve auction, the work Portrait of a young woman as Flora with a shepherd playing a flute in a landscape changed hands for USD 100,800.00 (€ 92,834.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas de Keijzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 644,650.00 (€ 997,127.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas de Keijzer konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a young woman as Flora with a shepherd playing a flute in a landscape für USD 100.800,00 (€ 92.834,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas de Keijzer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 644.650,00 (€ 997.127,56).
