Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Full-Length, Holding His Sword And A Hat, With A Dog In An Interior by Thomas de Keijzer was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,265.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas de Keijzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 644,650.00 (€ 997,127.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Full-Length, Holding His Sword And A Hat, With A Dog In An Interior von Thomas de Keijzer wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 644.650,00 (€ 997.127,56).
