Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings from the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker, which included the work Portrait of a young man, full-length, in a black costume and hat, standing amongst classical sulpture, a landscape beyond by Thomas de Keijzer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 60,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas de Keijzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 644,650.00 (€ 997,127.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings from the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young man, full-length, in a black costume and hat, standing amongst classical sulpture, a landscape beyond von Thomas de Keijzer zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 644.650,00 (€ 9
