Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Silversmith, Probably Christian Van Vianen (1600–67) by Thomas de Keijzer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 437,000.00 (€ 619,519.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Thomas de Keijzer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2002 the work Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table was auctioned for GBP 644,650.00 (€ 997,127.56).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Silversmith, Probably Christian Van Vianen (1600–67) von Thomas de Keijzer kam im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
