Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work View Of Chatsworth From The East; View From The West, Derbyshire by Thomas Allom for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,502.98). This price was achieved in the auction An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Allom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sack of Corinth in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 64,353.63).

Im Juli 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View Of Chatsworth From The East; View From The West, Derbyshire von Thomas Allom für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.502,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00.
