Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, by the Tomb of Absalom by Thomas Allom for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,534.29). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Allom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sack of Corinth in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 64,353.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, by the Tomb of Absalom von Thomas Allom für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.534,29) erwerben.
