Noreen Drexel, Newport, R.I., The Estate of Van Cliburn, Fort Worth, TX auction, the work Transplanting Rice; And Sowing At Soo-Chow-Foo changed hands for USD 1,062.50 (€ 771.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Allom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sack of Corinth in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 64,353.63).
