Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work L'Hiver-Chat sur un Coussin by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,628.63). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Coup De Vent in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 276,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L'Hiver-Chat sur un Coussin von Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.628,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Coup De Vent im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 276.250,00.
