In February 2024 Bonhams in London held the auction Vintage Posters, which included the work Chat Noir, Prochainement by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,960.00 (€ 14,995.98), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Coup De Vent in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 276,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2024 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chat Noir, Prochainement von Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.960,00 (€ 14.995,98) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Coup De Vent im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 276.250,00.
