Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Little Vagabond Drinking from Jug by Theodore Wendel was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,303.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Theodore Wendel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman by the Sea, Cape Ann, Massachusetts in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 60,800.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Little Vagabond Drinking from Jug von Theodore Wendel kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.303,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodore Wendel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman by the Sea, Cape Ann, Massachusetts im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 60.800,54).
