This artwork by Theo Swagemakers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Pink roses in a glass vase sold for EUR 1,195.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Theo Swagemakers; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A still life with fruits, a basket and a bowl sold at auction in January 2001 with the realized price of NLG 4,465.00 (€ 1,953.80).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Theo Swagemakers erzielte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Pink roses in a glass vase für EUR 1.195,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 600,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Theo Swagemakers; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A still life with fruits, a basket and a bowl im Januar 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 4.465,00 (€ 1.953,80).
