Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux, which included the work Tetsuya Ishida Memorial Print 2014: i. Cargo/ ii. Untitled/ iii. Plant-eating Dragon (Set of Three) by Tetsuya Ishida. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,794.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tetsuya Ishida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Men On A Belt Conveyor in July last year with an auction result of HKD 8,064,000.00 (€ 1,006,221.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tetsuya Ishida Memorial Print 2014: i. Cargo/ ii. Untitled/ iii. Plant-eating Dragon (Set of Three) von Tetsuya Ishida zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.794,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tetsuya Ishida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Men On A Belt Conveyor im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.064.000,00 (€ 1.006.221,53).
