Auction result well in line with expectations
The work FUNCTIONAL by Tetsuya Ishida was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The price achieved of HKD 2,220,000.00 (€ 270,521.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,900,000.00 – 2,600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tetsuya Ishida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Men On A Belt Conveyor, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 8,064,000.00 (€ 1,006,221.53).

Die Arbeit FUNCTIONAL von Tetsuya Ishida wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.220.000,00 (€ 270.521,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.900.000,00 – 2.600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tetsuya Ishida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Men On A Belt Conveyor beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 8.064.000,00 (€ 1.006.221,53) versteigert wurde.
