Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Terry Winters could be acquired at Christies in New York in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction, the work Field Notes #20, from Field Notes changed hands for USD 378.00 (€ 347.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terry Winters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Graphic Primitives 1 in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 178,398.87).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Terry Winters konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD wechselte die Arbeit Field Notes #20, from Field Notes für USD 378,00 (€ 347,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terry Winters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Graphic Primitives 1 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 178.398,87).
