Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Terry Pope achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Distorted Plane Construction sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,807.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Terry Pope; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Linear Space Construction No. 1 sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,521.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Terry Pope erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Distorted Plane Construction für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.807,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Terry Pope; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Linear Space Construction No. 1 im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.521,70).
