Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A View of Singapore River by Tay Chee Toh was sold in the A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,740.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tay Chee Toh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl In Hammock, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,686.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A View of Singapore River von Tay Chee Toh wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.740,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tay Chee Toh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl In Hammock beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.686,90) versteigert wurde.
