Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Unknown by Tay Chee Toh. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,093.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Tay Chee Toh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2015 the work Girl In Hammock was auctioned for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,686.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Tay Chee Toh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.093,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Tay Chee Toh konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2015 die Arbeit Girl In Hammock für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.686,90) versteigert.
