In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Ghost/Ghost by Tauba Auerbach. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,418.48), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tauba Auerbach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Fold) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,995,317.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ghost/Ghost von Tauba Auerbach zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 7.418,48) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tauba Auerbach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.995.317,20).
