Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mounted For Framing; by Tao Yiqing was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 38,400.00 (€ 4,271.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 32,000.00 – 52,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tao Yiqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Countryside Landscape in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,825.38).

Die Arbeit Mounted For Framing; von Tao Yiqing wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 38.400,00 (€ 4.271,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 32.000,00 – 52.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tao Yiqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Countryside Landscape im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.825,38).
