Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tao Lengyue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Waterfall sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,306.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tao Lengyue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peonies Of Prosperity in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tao Lengyue erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Waterfall für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.306,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
