The work Plum Blossoms In Winter by Tao Lengyue was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 875,000.00 (€ 100,011.21), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tao Lengyue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peonies Of Prosperity, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).

Die Arbeit Plum Blossoms In Winter von Tao Lengyue wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 100.011,21) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62) versteigert wurde.
