Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peach Blossoms by Tao Lengyue was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tao Lengyue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peonies Of Prosperity in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peach Blossoms von Tao Lengyue wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
