The work Bamboo And Plum Blossoms by Tao Lengyue was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,006.72), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tao Lengyue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peonies Of Prosperity in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bamboo And Plum Blossoms von Tao Lengyue wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.006,72) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
