The work Landscape by Tang Zheming was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,368.93), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tang Zheming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Landscape After Du Fu'S Poem, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 133,128.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Tang Zheming wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.368,93) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tang Zheming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Landscape After Du Fu'S Poem beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 133.128,80) versteigert wurde.
