Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work Listening To The Running Streams by Tang Yin was worth HKD 2,320,000.00 (€ 219,961.78) to a buyer in November 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Yin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountain In Autumn in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
