It achieved a price of HKD 76,700.00 (€ 7,896.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tan Yankai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 184,972.32).

Die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Tan Yankai kam im Oktober 2014 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 76.700,00 (€ 7.896,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tan Yankai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 184.972,32).
