This artwork by Tan Yankai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Regular Script sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,014.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tan Yankai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 184,972.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tan Yankai erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Regular Script für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.014,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tan Yankai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 184.972,32).
