This artwork by Tan Yankai achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 153,400.00 (€ 15,792.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tan Yankai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 184,972.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tan Yankai erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 153.400,00 (€ 15.792,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tan Yankai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 184.972,32).
