The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Tan Yankai was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,114.96), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tan Yankai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 184,972.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Tan Yankai wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.114,96) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tan Yankai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 184.972,32).
