This artwork by Tan Yankai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu sold for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,268.76) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tan Yankai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 184,972.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tan Yankai erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.268,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tan Yankai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 184.972,32).
