The work Shadow by Takamatsu Jiro was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 227,658.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Takamatsu Jiro; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shadow No. 199 sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of GBP 206,500.00 (€ 288,841.92).

Die Arbeit Shadow von Takamatsu Jiro kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 227.658,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Takamatsu Jiro; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Shadow No. 199 im Oktober 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 206.500,00 (€ 288.841,92).
