Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction Japan: Art and Its Essence, which included the work Shadow Portrait of a Mother and Child (Kage no boshi zo) by Takamatsu Jiro. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 25,200.00 (€ 30,093.28). Admittedly, works by Takamatsu Jiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shadow No. 199 in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 206,500.00 (€ 288,841.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Japan: Art and Its Essence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shadow Portrait of a Mother and Child (Kage no boshi zo) von Takamatsu Jiro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 25.200,00 (€ 30.093,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Takamatsu Jiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shadow No. 199 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 206.500,00 (€ 288.841,92).
