Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Takamatsu Jiro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Composite No. 705 sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Takamatsu Jiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shadow No. 199 in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 206,500.00 (€ 288,841.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Takamatsu Jiro erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Composite No. 705 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Takamatsu Jiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shadow No. 199 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 206.500,00 (€ 288.841,92).
