Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included the work Femme lisant (Interior with Girl Reading) by Tai Hoi Ying. The price achieved of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,630.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tai Hoi Ying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Windows in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,853.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme lisant (Interior with Girl Reading) von Tai Hoi Ying zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.630,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tai Hoi Ying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Windows im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.853,75).
