In April 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Windows by Tai Hoi Ying. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 66,000.00 (€ 7,066.33), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tai Hoi Ying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Windows, which sold at auction in October 2010 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,853.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windows von Tai Hoi Ying zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 7.066,33) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tai Hoi Ying mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Windows beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.853,75) versteigert wurde.
