Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Sans Titre by Tai Hoi Ying for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,657.78). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tai Hoi Ying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Windows, which sold at auction in October 2010 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,853.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sans Titre von Tai Hoi Ying für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.657,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tai Hoi Ying mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Windows beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.853,75) versteigert wurde.
