Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas by Taddeo Zuccaro was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Taddeo Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated man and studies of male figures behind him in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 750,000.00 (€ 649,238.23).

Die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas von Taddeo Zuccaro wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 30.125,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
