Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings, which included the work A kneeling draped male figure before a seated figure by Taddeo Zuccaro. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,344.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Taddeo Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated man and studies of male figures behind him in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 750,000.00 (€ 649,238.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A kneeling draped male figure before a seated figure von Taddeo Zuccaro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 9.344,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Taddeo Zuccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A seated man and studies of male figures behind him im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 750.000,00 (€ 649.238,23).
